Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Reading Resource Area: For young learners who may be dyslexic, or otherwise delayed in their literacy efforts. Young learners now have a designated private space in the children’s library area where they can read aloud and practice writing skills.
1-on-1 Computer Help: Available on Wednesday 1:30-3 and Friday 2:30-4. Sessions are 30 minutes. Sign up at the front desk or call 207-255-3933 or email librarian@porter.lib.me.us
Curbside Pickup Service: Porter Memorial Library cardholders can ask for library items ahead of time and pick up their curbside order when it’s ready. Call 207-255-3933, email librarian@porter.lib.me.us, or place a reservation online at https://porter.biblionix.com. Curbside orders are bagged, labeled, and placed on the library front porch Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. We will let you know when your library items are available for pickup.
Used Book Sale: Located in the back yard at 92 Court Street, The Last Page Honesty Bookstore, Porter Memorial Library’s used book outlet, offers a fresh-air browsing experience for book lovers who appreciate a bargain. During the winter we openĀ The Last Page upon request. Inquire at the main building.
Used Book Donations: Donations are accepted on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or by appointment. We love your book donations and appreciate your understanding when it comes to resale value. Print and media items that are difficult to sell include any item in poor condition (damaged, dirty, smelly), text books, magazines, Readers Digest Condensed Books, and encyclopedias. Thank you for making our used book sale one of the best.
