The Young Writers’ Guild meets the first Friday of each month from 3:00–4:00 at Porter Memorial Library.
There is no cost to join the guild.
The Washington County Young Writers’ Guild is for students in grades 8-12 with an interest in creative writing. All are welcome! Bring a piece you’ve been working on or get inspired by one of our prompts.
Each guild meeting will begin with a snack and time to chat about what we’re writing. We’ll have quiet writing time and will end with the option to share. Our goals are to hone our craft and have fun.
The Writers’ Guild is run by Allison Paprocki, an English teacher at MMHS. She has an MFA in poetry from The Ohio State University and enjoys reading a wide variety of creative work. She is a co-founder of the Washington County Young Writers’ Conference and created the Young Writers’ Guild after students asked for more ways to share their writing.
